Sapukan mentega pada loyang dan alas dasar loyang dengan kertas kek. Panaskan kukusan dengan api yang besar.</li><li>Pukul mentega dan gula hingga sebati. Masukkan telur satu persatu dan terus memukul hingga rata.</li><li>Tambahkan esen vanilla dan teruskan pukul. Masukkan bahan yang diayak tadi dan gaul hingga sebati, tuang minyak dan esen vanilla, kacau hingga sebati. Ketepikan.</li><li>Putar putih telur hingga kembang, masukkan gula halus (bahan B), dan cream of tartar dan terus memutar hingga pekat.</li><li>Campurkan putih telur tadi ke dalam adunan no 1 dan kacau dengan spatula menggunakan kaedah kaup balik hingga sebati.</li><li>Tuang dalam tin chiffon yang bersaiz 23 cm (jangan sapu mentega pada tin) dan bakar 45 - 50 minit hingga kek masak. Cili merah juga dibelah tapi jangan putus, rendam dan ketepikan.</li><li>Panaskan minyak dalam kuali, tumis bawang merah dan bawang putih hiris, kayu manis, bunga lawang, halia titik dan daun kari hingga harum, masukkan bahan kisar halus dan rempah kari. Kacau rata dan masak hingga terbit minyak.</li><li>Masukkan santan dan juga asam gelugor. Tambah kerisik, garam dan gula secukup rasa (lebih sikit gula, sebab paceri manis sedikit). Kecilkan api dan masak hingga pekat dan terbit minyak. Masukkan terung (toskan dahulu) dan gaul rata.</li><li>Masak hingga terung lembut sedikit, masukkan belahan cili merah, masak sekejap dan rasa, jika perlu tambah garam atau gula sedikit lagi.
